Caroline (nee Hildebrand) and John Francis Knowlden Williams. Caroline was born 1857 in Melbourne and died in San Francisco in 1905. This photograph was taken in San Francisco, probably about 1890. 
Children of Caroline & John Williams. This photo was taken in San Francisco, probably around 1888. From left, the children standing are John Francis Jnr, Henry, Edmond and George Alfred. The infant is William, and the girl is Elizabeth. Six more children were born in the 14 years after this photograph. 
George Hildebrand, born in Melbourne in 1860, died 1945. This photograph probably taken in Melbourne circa 1885. 
George's wife Ellen (nee Ballantyne, born 1864, died 1911) with daughter Bertha (born 1894, died 1978). This is a partial clip from a full family photograph taken in Melbourne probably about 1907.
Margaret Kelpe (nee Hauser), daughter of Elizabeth Zeigler/Hauser/Hildebrand. Born Germany 1848, died New Zealand 1919.  Photograph taken in New Zealand, probably in the 1880s. 
Mystery Woman - photo taken in Westport, New Zealand, probably 1890s. Margaret Kelpe & family lived in Westport but it is not known who this woman is.  Found in the family album of George and Ellen Hildebrand, with thanks to Patricia Kelly. 
Notman girls - this photo taken in Dunedin New Zealand, probably 1890-1900, is thought to be of the three daughters of Anne Catherine Hildebrand and Charles Notman (Annie Jane, Christina and Elizabeth); the family lived in Dunedin. Found in the family album of George and Ellen Hildebrand, with thanks to Patricia Kelly.

Mystery Woman - photo taken in Melbourne, about 1889-91. Thought to be Mary Ballantyne, (mother of Ellen) in mourning after death of husband Andrew in 1888. Mary (nee O'Dowd) was born 1827 in County Clare, Ireland; died Melbourne 1906. She would have been about 62 years old at the time of this photograph.  Found in the family album of George and Ellen Hildebrand, with thanks to Patricia Kelly.
